Through the rubble, a hero emerges!

Today, I received a call from the VP at my company. I am officially a “hero” there.
This is the press release that went out today.
During the new program launch, Mike C. introduced our company’s 100 Heroes Program, an initiative to recognize the hard-driving employees who are moving us forward. The great results of these team members are making a measurable difference to our organization. These winners will receive a commemorative award, a bonus, and companywide recognition.

Under the leadership of Paul, the team of Babita, Reynaldo, and Randolph was instrumental in radically simplifying how the company sales teams engage the custom bid sales support organizations throughout the company. They created a single portal that consolidated the engagement of multiple bid-support organizations into one site. The portal also provides a management tool for the support teams to monitor and report on every aspect of a bid from initial inception to the final delivery to the customer. The portal has greatly simplified the process, making this a one-stop shop to engage the company’s numerous custom-bid sales support organizations. In addition, the new engagement portal was completed in less than four months. The tool has continued to be expanded and improved by the team and, to date, includes nearly all of the bid management and support functions for the firm’s sales and support forces globally.
